Barbara Leiran, J.D. brings
a wealth of experience and insight as a neutral to the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). As the owner and operator
of METRO MEDIATION, LLC, Ms. Leiran is in a unique position to guide a wide range of individuals and organizations through
alternative dispute resolution processes to outcomes that benefit all involved. This is a neutral who believes that the primary
focus of any ADR initiative must be to ensure a quality process where all parties are heard and can take ownership of resolutions
accordingly. Over the years as a court appointed Arbitrator, Ms. Leiran has rendered numerous decisions involving complex
Civil and Family Law matters. Ms. Leiran is a graduate of William
Mitchell College of Law and came to the practice with fully honed mediation and negotiation skills via her tenure with the
Office of the Ramsey County Attorney, Child Support Enforcement Division where she appeared on hundreds of cases. Moreover,
Ms. Leiran worked for the National Arbitration Forum where she had the exceptional opportunity to write hundreds of Decisions
and Memoranda for Arbitrators throughout the United States and the World, providing her with the expertise necessary to create
excellently written agreements and decisions that memorialize resolutions accordingly. As a professional trainer
for Thomson West, Ms. Leiran provided instruction and guidance to hundreds of attorneys throughout the Country, including
Judges, District Attorneys, Solicitor Generals, Correctional Facility Personnel, Public Defenders as well as Non Profit Organizations.
Ms Leiran is a qualified neutral on both the Civil and Family rosters under Rule 114 of the Minnesota
